Rotation fingerprints

Four dimensions, two channels

Each card pairs the supplied angular heatmap and robust median profile. Choose L or R to compare the two supplied views. The originals are preserved; channel assignment follows the supplied pair order.

Harmonic distortion

Left-channel harmonic-distortion rotation fingerprint and robust median profile.

Left channel selected

Opposite-channel leakage

Left-channel opposite-channel leakage rotation fingerprint and robust median profile.

Left channel selected

1 kHz level modulation

Left-channel 1 kHz level-modulation rotation fingerprint and robust median profile.

Speed deviation

Left-channel speed-deviation rotation fingerprint and robust median profile.

Behind the measurement

A 1 kHz capture on the SL-1410 MK2

The Technics SL-1410 MK2 was measured with an Empire 7000/III and ART USB Phono Plus. The source report identifies neither tonearm nor test-record track, so this result describes the recorded chain only to that level of detail.

Eight rotation fingerprints show speed deviation, level modulation, opposite-channel leakage and harmonic distortion for both supplied channel views.

What stands out

Steady harmonics, with directional channel differences

The turntable averaged 33.33 RPM (−0.01%) with 0.040% DIN-shaped wow and flutter. Average separation was 23.8 dB; the report gives −24.9 dB L→R and −22.8 dB R→L. Channel balance was −0.26 dB, while THD was 2.26% left and 1.85% right.

Harmonic levels stayed steady within this recording. A repeat with the missing setup and track details recorded would show whether the directional and THD differences persist.

Harmonic reliabilitySteady during recording. Suitable for setup guidance.

Unweighted results complement the DIN-shaped measurement. The report describes harmonic levels as steady during recording. Reported differences retain the source precision; they may differ from subtraction of rounded channel values.
