Rotation fingerprints

Four dimensions, two channels

Each view combines the angular heatmap and robust median profile produced by Groove Scope. Choose L or R independently on each card. The supplied plots are preserved without retouching; L/R assignment follows their supplied pair order. The PDF describes the 22:17 capture.

On smaller screens, swipe horizontally to compare all four cards. The source views show eight consecutive rotations (R1–R8) where supplied.

Behind the measurement

A later DQX-500 capture

This 22:17 reference check follows a 1 kHz tone through playback speed, level, leakage and harmonic distortion. The supplied fingerprints show eight consecutive rotations and a recurring broad speed rise and fall. The source PDF leaves the input field blank; the measurer subsequently confirmed the Goldring 2100, Audio Research SP20 and EVO4.

What stands out

Near-nominal speed; repeat the harmonic check

The 22:17 Micro Seiki DQX-500 capture measured 33.33 RPM (−0.01%) with 0.032% DIN-shaped wow and flutter RMS. Average separation was 20.1 dB at 1 kHz and channel balance was −0.54 dB. THD was 1.72% left and 2.15% right. The report recommends a repeat because the right-channel third harmonic changed most during recording.

Directional crosstalk was −21.6 dB L→R and −18.6 dB R→L. The angular plots do not establish a physical cause for the patterns.

Unweighted results complement the DIN-shaped measurement. The report advises a repeat because the right-channel third harmonic changed most during recording. Reported differences retain the source precision; they may differ from subtraction of rounded channel values.
