Resonance Lab Measurements

Setup-centric observations of turntable speed, unweighted wow and flutter, low-frequency vibration and cartridge/tonearm resonance context. A stable playback Setup can accumulate independent measurements over time.

Public setups

Each Setup has a persistent public identity. RPM and Vibration sessions remain independent dated observations beneath that Setup.

DSR-SETUP-0001

Rega P3 / Rega RB330 / Audio-Technica AT-OC9XML

Three public Resonance Lab observations are currently associated with this Setup: two RPM / wow & flutter sessions and one 1–40 Hz Vibration session.

Scientific boundary

Phone-measured vibration describes mechanical motion at the phone placement point. It is not a direct measurement of stylus/cantilever or cartridge/tonearm resonance. Resonance Lab may compare measured vibration frequency content with a calculated resonance region, but that comparison is contextual evidence rather than proof of cause.

Public IDs are assigned centrally by the Direct Sound Records archive; the app-generated UUIDs remain the permanent technical identities used for duplicate detection and provenance.
